F*uCk Live Nation

Sunday October 25th

Keep Live Nation out of local Ybor. Join us Oct. 25 at Shuffle: open mic + public       comment training before the Oct. 27 BLC meeting.

🖤 SAVE YBOR CITY: Community Action

Ybor City’s independent venues, artists, musicians and small businesses are part of what makes this neighborhood what it is.

On Tuesday, October 27, the Barrio Latino Commission is scheduled to hear BLC 26-0000115 and BLC 26-0000117, related to the proposed Live Nation venue in       Ybor City.

Our coalition opposes the project, and we want to make sure the people who live, work, create and spend time in Tampa know what’s happening—and know how to make their voices heard.

📣 JOIN US SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25 AT SHUFFLE

We’re hosting a FREE community gathering + public comment training ahead of      the Barrio Latino Commission meeting.

No experience with public comment is needed. If you care about Ybor, local             music, independent venues, small businesses or Tampa’s creative community,                     come out.

🎤 OPEN MIC Poets, musicians, writers, performers and artists are invited to share their work. All subjects are welcome, with a special invitation for work about community, local art, independent spaces and corporate power.

📝 PUBLIC COMMENT TRAINING We’ll break down: • What the Barrio Latino Commission does • What these Live Nation applications are about • How public comment works • How to write a clear 2–3 minute        comment• What to expect        when you get to City Hall

You’ll have time to write your comment, practice it and get feedback before October 27.

📧 TAKE ACTION THAT DAY We’ll also help attendees submit written comments to   the Barrio Latino Commission and make it easy to invite friends, neighbors and other Tampa residents to participate.

Then on:

🏛️ TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27 — 9:00 AM Old City Hall 315 E. Kennedy Blvd. Tampa, FL 33602

We’re asking community members who oppose the proposed Live Nation venue to attend the Barrio Latino Commission meeting and make their comments part of the public record.

Can’t attend? You can still participate.

✍️ Sign + share the petition: https://c.org/TTGqzM7Lzf

📧 Email the Barrio Latino Commission: historicpreservation@tampagov.net

Ybor has always been shaped by the people who gather here, make things here, open businesses here, perform here and build community here.

This is an opportunity for Tampa residents to show up, learn how the process works and make sure the community is heard. 🖤

The Coven Party event photo

The Coven Party

Thursday October 29th

Gather ‘round the cauldron, my sisters. Wouldst thou like to live deliciously? Tis time for a festival like no other, for on the evening of Thursday October 29th we will unite and imbibe. On this day the Moon will be in a Waning Gibbous phase. All are welcome, including divine warlocks, sorcerers, and necromancers (basically: dudes are invited too). Come join your coven circle and sip the sweet nectar of the fields with us as we celebrate the upcoming All Hallows Eve. Are you a good witch or a bad witch? A hearth witch or a cosmic witch? A crone or a teenage witch? A green witch or a sea witch? Or even an Elvira, the mistress of the night? We have partnered with Milagros Wellness Sanctuary and will have tarot readers, Chakra readings, a past life reader, and many other prophetesses to guide your fortunes; as well as a burning ritual for the setting of intentions, and *alluring prizes for the best dressed witches.* Bring your familiar and your book of shadows and join us for an evening of energy and sisterhood. We will have candle makers, apothecary chemists, crystal dealers, and gold charmers. Menfolk are welcome, as long as they recognize this is a night for sisters. After all, it’s just a bunch of hocus pocus. Witchy inspiration looks: Witches of Eastwick The Craft The Witches Sabrina The Crucible AHS: Coven Hocus Pocus The Wizard of Oz Practical Magic COSTUME CONTEST AT 8:30PM! ----- We are asking for additional witchy-themed vendors and sponsors to donate some prizes for our costume contest!
